Church's Inquisition -Torturing Those Who Disagreed (2 of 6)

The Church's Inquisition was set to torture and kill those who disbelieved in the Bible. Not only that, they also tortured and burned those alive who believe in the Bible but disagreed with the Church's interpretations.

Men, women and Children of 12 years and above were all subject to this torture and slow death if they did not give up their faith and accept the interpretations of the Church.

Well, in the Old Testament, Yahweh tells us to '...kill every male among the little ones and kill every woman who has known a man intimately / But keep alive for yourselves all the young girls......' (Numbers 31: 17). 'Samaria is held guilty, for she has rebelled against her God. They shall fall by the sword, their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child ripped open.' (Hosea 14:16) etc.

Yes, Jesus is wonderful.

But with a 'God' like Yahweh, who needs the Devil?

It was Protestants, not the Catholics, who instituted the Salem Witch trials. You'd think they would've learned from the mistakes the Catholics had made? Now, they're both making the same old mistakes all over again. In Nigeria children are being murdered in the name of Jesus, because they're suspected of Witchcraft. Obviously it was those who belong to Christ being murdered. It always is.

Christians believe in loving your neighbor as yourself. If they don't believe that then they're not Christian.

Don't think they will be subject to it.

For me Water Boarding is torture.....I may be "conservative" but I am 100% against torture.

Good interrogation does not use torture. It may play mind games, the person may be victim to "Stockholm syndrome"....but no physical harm may be implemented!

@ssatrofma The Bible is corrupted. The original Numbers 31 passage doesn't read the way it does in all Bibles. I can talk to you about proof for this if you are interested.

Organised religion is used by man to control people. They aren't doing Gods work, they are using religion with politics for power.

Yes the Christians did this horrific treatment in the past but so too are other religions like extremist muslims today engaging in barbaric practises and it must stop. God does not wish people to suffer, especially like this.
