El Al's most experienced warior- the oldest plane in their fleet the Boeing 762Er (4X-EAC), preforming a very powerfull take off and climb out from Luton airport on the 12th September 2011 as flight LY214 to Tel Aviv. This plane is not so regular on their schedules and is due to be reitred shortly, but although the age clearly shows on this aircraft, it still was a very enjoyable and comfortable ride, and the aircrafts preformance was amazing. Note a very common thing on this route is that the aircraft climbs to 7000 feet, then holds until it passes the flightpath of the Lambourne holding area, then clims to full altitude... I really liked how the pilot was playing with the throttles!
LITTLE DID I KNOW THEN THAT THIS WAS ONE OF ITS FINAL COMMERCIAL FLIGHTS AS ONLY TWO WEEKS LATER FOLLOWING A CHARTERED FLIGHT THIS PLANE WAS OFFICIALLY WITHDRAWN AND RETIRED AFTER COMPLETING OVER 95000 FLYING HOURS IN 28 YEARS OF SERVICE!
@flyelal No, it was third row in economy (dont forget this is the 762 which has a shorter fuselage than the 767-300 so economy is still way in front of the wing!)
