  • I show in Novice at Heritage right now. I show Top Gun, also known as Clue. ;3

  • i used to ride a horse who was crazy wit chances, but partly cuz i used to ride rele unbalanced

now i ride a horse who has them rele pretty but likes to throw in a buck with it lol

  • Yep getting leads over fences is one of the first things i taught my grennie to do when we started o/f..

  • All sound horses are capable of doing lead changes. They start doing them when they are only days old running out in the fields. Its a matter of teaching them to do them when we want.

  • all horses do :) just blance and pressure with your rien and leg to the lead you want your horse to land on

  • umm.. wen they tried her out in canada (i was there) a girl tess who rides at our barn rode gorgie (pony) first and it was one of the first times she got the lead changes althogh i dont know what she did to get them! sorry once again

  • Well, for the majority of horses, this does not work. I wonder if this pony had done changes before (Probably, since in hunters it is extremely important to get the changes, so important that I doubt someone would buy a pony for the childrens if there wasnt something already there). Trust me, though, that method will NOT work for almost all the horses out there.

  • well sorry im only doing novice and short sturrip! i just thought that becouse i lesson with a girl charlotte who is doing childrens her pony didnt know her leads and my trainer just said hold ur rain tight and kick her there she had it! her pony is super green too!!

  • Uhh, no. The horse has to be trained to do it first. Unless you've ridden packers all your life. Yes, they can all be trained, but on a horse that doesnt know his changes, you dont just move the reins.

  • all horses can do that u just need to be acsessable by holding the rein on the side u want the lead easy!
