Support Class tips

-GIVE AMMO to your team.
Your ammo pack makes it so that you can have unlimited ammunation for your primary weapon, secondary weapon, grenades, and C4/Claymores. Give ammo to any teammate that may need it if they have the ammo box icon above them.

USE YOUR GADGETS correctly.
The Support class is very versatile because it can perform well against infantry and against ground vehicles. With your LMG, you can kill several people without having to reload. With your C4, you can destroy enemy vehicles. with your mortar, you can attack the enemy team from far away, much like the Engineer's EOD Bot. And with your Claymore, you can watch your back, much like the Recon's motion sensor. Using the right gadget can be the difference between taking the lead or losing it.

-Use the right type of weapon.
All LMGs are great for close quarters, however none are good for long range. The M27, RPK-74M, and the M249 have single shot firing rate, so I guess you could attempt to shoot someone from far away with some amount of success, however most LMGs are only accurate at close to mid range.
Like with previous guides, using shotguns and PDWs is entirely up to you. If you're going to use a shotgun, use the slug ammo type so that the shotgun has greater range if you're going to play in big maps like Kharg Island and Caspian Border. PDWs are very good in close quarters, but not so much at long range. Use at your own discretion.
Secondary weapon. MP443 or .44 Magnum. Been having some success with it.

-Gadgets:
For the first slot, you always have the ammo box. For the second slot, you can have C4, the M224 mortar, or the M18 Claymore. I mainly use C4 because it is a great way to get rid of tanks IF you can sneak close enough to it to plant the charges, then run away, then detonate them. Takes all 3 C4 charges to blow up an undamaged tank, so keep that in mind. The Mortar is suited for Rush if you're defending or for Conquest if you know where the enemy team is and IF your teammates can spot enemies/vehicles for you to aim at them and maybe kill/destroy them. I didn't use the M18 Claymore at all, but I've been killed by it a few times. Works as advertised, so I guess it could be good for Rush if you're attacking and want to create a perimeter around the M-COM station or in popular areas in Conquest.
I suggest using C4 for Conquest and the M224 Mortar for Rush if you're defending, and the M18 Claymore for Rush if you're attacking.

-Setups:
The best LMG is either the M249 or the M60E4. Both weapons have considerable less recoil than the Pecheneg and the M240B. The M27 IAR and the RPK-74M, while good, aren't really LMGs, more like Assault Rifles but with extended magazines since they only have a 47 bullet magazine as opposed to the regular 100 bullet magazine used by the other LMGs.
Similar to my previous guides, I like to use the Infrared scope, foregrip, and extended mags for close quarters or the PK-A 3.4x/M145 Optical scope, bipod, and extended mags for mid to somewhat long range.
