THE END.

But, to finish the game you need to rewrite history: After you get the elemental talons, you'll need the Radicon, Fluxer, Capitor, and Todilor from Woodhaven (2,11), Pinehurst (7,6), Hillstone (3,13), Luxus (0,6) castles.

Now that you have the talons and the Radicon, Fluxer, Capitor and Todilor, head to Dawn's Mist Bog. Once you're inside, go to NW and east and you'll find a bunch of Greedy Snitches guarding a secret passage at (7,12). By now they shouldn't be much of a problem, since at this point of the game, your party is more than strong to deal with them pratically unharmed.

Fight the orb guardians and after you defeat them. Pick King Kalohn's elemental orb and... The orb denies you exit! Crap.

If you're playing the Apple2 or PC version, you'll need to bring a hireling: Give the orb to him/her then dismiss the hireling. Hire them again at the inn and voilá, now the orb is yours. If you're playing the SNES version (Like me) just use Lloyd's beacon spell to get the hell out of here (Just make sure your beacon is placed anywhere but inside Dawn's Mist Bog).

Pay a final visit to Lord Peabody's at Pinehurst and use the time machine to go to the year 800. Move one square forward and you'll meet King Kalohn and assuming you have the orb and the elemental talons, he'll ask you if you could handle them to him. Give them to Kalohn and he'll finally defeat the Mega Dragon. After that, just rest until you return to the year 900.

Now, the time to deal with the villain of the game (and the previous one) Sheltem draws near! Head to Luxus palace and King Kalohn, will instruct you to go to the square lake C2 (10,7) and he'll give you the password: WAFE.

Inside the square lake dungeon, you'll have to make your way through a long series of corridors, with tough fights... Unless you're playing the SNES version of the game, since in this version the teleport spell works on areas where it wasn't supposed to (Such as the Dragon's Dominion, Pinehurst first dungeon and the Square Lake dungeon).

Make your way through (0,15) and there you'll find the boss of the game: Sheltem and an air, earth, fire and water elemental. After you defeat them, use the password WAFE to prevent the planet of CRON crashing into the sun and... Sh*t, it's another freakin' puzzle! Fortunately it's the very last one, but on the other hand, if you fail... Well... Crap.

The deciphered cryptogram is:

WE, THE PEOPLE OF TERRA, IN ORDER TO
FORM A MORE PERFECT UNION, ESTABLISH
JUSTICE, INSURE DOMESTIC TRANQUILITY, PROVIDE FOR THE COMMON DEFENSE...

Since the answer is always "Preamble" (Case sensitive), the solution is:

"P" Row 1 word 3 letter 1
"r" Row 2 word 1 letter 3
"e" Row 1 word 1 letter 2
"a" Row 2 word 2 letter 1
"m" Row 2 word 3 letter 1
"b" Row 2 word (last) letter 5
"l" Row 1 word 3 letter 5
"e" Row 1 word 1 letter 2

Congratulations! You completed Might and Magic 2 and you'll receive 50,000 experience points as bonus for completing the game (On the PC and Apple2 versions). And after that you're free to explore the world of CRON and hack more experience points and level up at training centers.

Yes, you can import a victorious party on the sequel game, Might and Magic 3: The Isles of Terra.

And in case you're wondering why it shows that I lost 5 battles, that's because I ran away from five encounters to snatch the emerald ring at Tundara without getting caught by the town guards (Yes, running away from an encounter counts as a battle lost in this game).

And at the end of the video, I paid a visit to Murray's resort isle (I did brought a ticket to it earlier, but I forgot to go there). The only things of interest on Murray's is the hot springs at (2,3), which rejuvenates your party in 5 years. The massage therapy at (3,2) temporary sets your personality to 75 and the mud bath (2,4) doesn't seem to do nothing.

All the other stuff on Murray's resort isle is harmful so avoid them (Juice bar/Slime fountain, Murray's gym, Giants playing volleyball and the marble pool where someone dropped acid on it).

  • um..why not just give us the code we have to use..or is that random?

  • @Saemaey It's random, since the cryptogram is always different. Fortunately, the answer ("Preamble") is always the same.

  • I can't help but to chuckle a bit at the somewhat humorous names and bad jokes in this game
