If the currency does collapse you have to look at what has happened in other countries to see what will happen.
Instead of fiat currencies those countries move to commodity money, ie gold and silver. The government goes away, and the territories break up and make their own currencies.
I'm thinking that if things get so bad and inflation consumes us, the first state to leave the union will be Texas. They can survive on their own and don't need the rest of the country.
