Poinciana composed by Bernier and Simon debuted in the 1952 film "Dreamboat". It has since become a standard of the Jazz/Bossa Nova repertoire. I play it on my Mya-Moe Tenor Resonator Ukulele. I also play the backing track with my Kala U-Bass (ukulele bass) and my 1993 Heritage Johnny Smith arch-top guitar.
The audio on the video has NOT been processed in any way. No EQ, no compression, no reverb. You're hearing the sound of the external mic on the video camera. The accompaniment was pre-recorded by me, dumped to my iPod and fed into a guitar amp which should have been pointed more directly at the microphone, I wish it were louder and clearer... but so it goes.

Gerald, one of the things I like about you tube is running across musicians such as yourself who clearly are on another, higher plane of the melodic world. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. Also, your "set" upgrades - the two green glass bowls last week, the chive (?) this week
are beginning to catch up in an aesthetic way with the music you make. Your position makes it t easier for us mortals to read your hands too. Makes for one of the better sites in all of you tubedom.
Thanks
