@jaysoundar yeah, I think rationing the amount of time is the way to go, it's too difficult to give it up for good! lol. I do think it'd be an interesting experiment to quit the internet for a month, just to see what it'd be like.

Very interesting topic! I have had exactly the same thoughts that you expressed here.
I am a voracious reader, always have been. I get a real pleasure from a good book. But I noticed lately that the time I spend on the internet takes away from the time I have at my disposal for reading. I haven't stop reading, but it goes slower. If there's anything I'd like to buy most, that will be free time, and not just for reading... :)
