Not a very well liked synthesiser, but I think it sounds really good.

  • This is one of the best Demos on YT coz it shows the Sound Sculpting Possibilities of the Roland Jupiter 6. Have you still got this beatiful piece of machinery? How much did you pick it up for may I ask sir?

  • Stupidly I sold her... :-(

IIRC, I paid ~$AU1100.00 for her.

  • I'm sorry about that m8. Oh well, another regret to add to the list huh?

I wonder where it is now...

  • I know where she is, and it's a good home. :)

  • Not impressed. No power or sonic versatility. Do youself a favour and get a REAL CLASSIC. The Yamaha DX7 MK2 or Roland JX8P leave all theses Junos and Jupiters in the dust.

  • Does it have a built in sequencer?

    Awesome demo BTW

  • All Synths Sound Good What about a world with out them ,Not Good...

  • @therealKINDLE Women and synths ! But i think synths come first !

  • "Not a very well liked synthesiser"

    lmao

  • I knew a blind guy in Ontario, he played Jump, Lazy and other tunes with a J6 it sounded like the record, used boss overdrive in lazy, it was perfect

  • Don't ingnore marantzamp. Ignore juno 6. Prophets are better. But not his rev 3. It's the rev 2 that is the best prophet. I could take any p5 and show the owner just how out of trim it really is. It will show in the extreem settings. Get your p5 to a good tech asap. Good tech.....good luck!

  • Don't pick on Marantzamp. He probably plays the jp6 all the time. I bet he has 4 or five of them. He probably uses serveral of them hooked up together live. He knows they sound so warm and phat compared to a p5. What's so cool is how every patch sound so vastly different , it's like it another synth alltogether. No sameness of sound. And if you believe that I have one for sale.

  • Hmm...JP6 IS a great synth - NO DOUBT!!

Saying "JP8 is better than JP6!" is like saying " I have bigger d*ck than You dude!". And MARANTZamp, You probably have the biggest ;)

Fist Up for every synth lover!

  • Really? Oh welll that's a relief! I know it sounds sad, but after many years playing these synths intimately, you beging to really care about em'. I have 2 days a week where I clean them with the old air blaster(!), dust cloth, ear buds & some form of dust repellent! I have no space for women in my life.. Music is my love. So I guess it's to be expected really! Does anyone else know what i mean?
