Serena was definately the best athlete of the year, she's the only female in any sport that did as well as Serena did. The only person who could even be considered for this award would probably be Kim Clijsters and that would be only for having an amazing comeback. The award definately was a good choice for Serena

Serena is an awesome choice and the only choice as far as I am concerned.
Some people wanted this award to go to anyone else other than Serena but no other female was an awesome as Serena this year.
