I feel that having the nukes prevents war. There is a reason that we have never goon to war with Russia or China. The nuclear weapons force superpowers to the table rather than to war. The problem is when smaller country’s with insane leaders or terrorist groups get them and they don't give a rats ass about what happens to the world.

sounds like a good idea. there are enough other formes of bombs to kill each other, and millions of guns and tanks to do it with as well. hell why not just go straight to spears and rocks while we are at it? keep nuclear technology (in the future, fusion technology) to power our cities.
