Weeden began making toy steam engines in 1884. In 1942 Weeden sold out to National Playthings, and production continued until 1952.
The model 400 was manufactured from 1937 through 1940 - it has a 150 watt electric heater for boiling water in the boiler, and the engine is a single acting oscillator - the power stroke is the up-stroke oddly.
