Just bought a 67 LTD with a 390. I'm gonna put the 390 in a 59 Rat Rod T-bird. I've been told that you need to have the valve seats hardened otherwise they will burn up with todays gas. Can any tell me if that is accurate for a 1967 390, 315hp, 4 barrell.
thx!

Dude, amazing project! If you don't mind some advice though. Anytime you're doing a freshly built engine start up, always have a big, (charged beyong belief) 24 series battery hooked up. Why? Well in the video I hear the battery running down. And since the new motor should be tighter than a June bride, you want a strong battery to spin that 390 (probably an (s) motor) over as fast as possible. Just my opinion! Don't even let that motor hear a car with a low battery try to start!

Actually, your grammer is perfect. When I was a child.....about 40 years ago stupidest was not even considered a word in the USA. If English is your 3rd language, then your more knowledgeable than tripjet999 who probably speaks English as a first language. This is a product of our wonderful liberal education system here in the USA.
