1:47 - idea is to have a vocal over this part of the bridge.
2:00 - guitar solo over this part of the bridge which leads to outtro.
Outtro - fanfare type of thing, vamping on "Turning up the Radio" or just "Radio".
This is a song idea I took just a little bit further for this YouTube collab that Rivers Cuomo (or =w= fame) is hosting.
I tried to stay true to the supplied progression, but had to change the lead/arpeggiating guitar in the verse because it seemed to be conflicting with the progression at one point. I also changed up the chorus slightly to make it stand out.
The bridge and outtro are simple and to the point. Too bad about the mono playback on YouTube. The rhythm guitars lost their growl, and all I can hear are the octives up the middle. :-\
Other than that, I'd love to work on it further (fix up the playing, automate some moves and cuts, etc) if only someone sees fit to sing it.
Dude. This kicks ass. High quality stuff with some great subtle stuff going on. I especially like the bassline and the clean riffage coming out of the chorus. The octave chord arrangements you have over the chorus make for an epic impact. I also like the bridge more than any other version I've heard, and I appreciate the end being completely different than the main part of the song since I've heard those chords about 430932840329480329482309483209483 times by now.
