  • @Aftzengeier It is original, actually.

Both Danish and Norwegian versions are original.

The initial few first Norwegians was "rip-offs" or "remakes", depending on your terminology, but after that, the productions was done at the same time, meaning both was original productions.

For something to be a remake, the other needs to be out on movie prior to production of the remake beginnning, which is not the case for the later Olsen banden movies.

Saying this as a Danish guy

  • While the concept originated in Denmark, it is not a ripoff in any way.

The scenes and everything is very simuliar, and even the camera angles are almost identical, which could lead one to conclude it was just a rip-off

But if you check out airdates, both the Danish and the Norwegian versions came out almost at the same time, with no time for either to rip the other off.

Instead, they both had the same writers, so clearly the directors just both sticked closely to the brilliant script

  • @TheJediLuke

What's your beef? Norwegians, Swedes and Danes are culturally close. If you as an American don't get it, stay the hell out of it all.
