What a great day, out first thing cleaning the track to run my new engine, with the help from my boys, i have bought a wireless Bachmann system but no good for outside as when the sun comes out you lose all signal & the trains stop dead, so will have to save up for the gaugemaster, should of bought in the first place, you live & learn

  • Love the A4 with sound. Once you've got the wireless control you'll kick yourself for having bought infrared. I live in a "noisy" electrical environment and tested my NCE radio by using a Class 20 in the front room of my house and with a wireless computer on plus two mobile phones got a friend to tell me if the loco worked when I controlled it from the back fence, about 55 metres away. No problems at all. Thanks for subbing to me,I've subbed to you.

  • Hi, infrared.ok in doors, no good outside so its the Gaugemaster wireless for me, the Bachmann infrared came from a set so did not cost to much, also the power output is rubbish it should be 2.5amp but when you test it is less then 1amp, i see why there are so many for sale on eBay "LOL"

  • Brilliant, the Falcon looks and sounds wonderful and the coaches are good too. Ive got a rake of LNER teaks but no LNER locos ,I must put that right asap.Looks like you had good weather also,Ive posted over the weekend a vid. of my new 9F but didn't have bright daylight for most of it.I look forward to more of your great videos ,cheers

  • Thanks, i am so please with the loco, have to be careful with her as they cost so much to have chipped & lights fitted, i had this done at Olivia's Trains Sheffield so much better than standard sound that come fitted, cheers Richard

  • Great stuff. I love them suspension bridges. Looked like a good session!.

It has been to wet for my garden railway today, had a lot of rain yesterday!.

I brought a bachmann peak yesterday with sound. Its very tasty,i will post a vid of it when i can.

    5 Stars mate.

  • Thanks, they need painting, the sun! going to save up for a Gaugemaster Wireless Control system about £350 but i think it will be great to have the freedom, bought the Bachmann but when the sun is out it is usless all the trains just stop, also the Gaugemaster has a range of 50mtrs & its Radio & not infared, cheers Rick

  • what a great loco to have sound fitted to it

love the a4s and cant wait to get my new mallard from the legends range from hornby in april

  • that is better with the sound, the a4 is a beauty

  • Is the Gaugemaster you intend to have 5amp as my NCE is 5amp and it provides ample power for the line. It is also 14.25 volts ac for the track. NCE recommended that all rails be bonded and that a power feed be taken from the main bus wires for each length of track to insure complete electrical continuity of the line. If you bond all the rail joints you will find from time to time that bonds drop off and need to be resoldered
