S T O R Y L I N E ;
The story starts as if Rasputin would have waited until Anastasia was older before trying to kill her. After her family had died, Anastasia lived in Paris with her grandmother. At a party one night her dog runs off and she chases him in to the garden. Where Rasputin is waiting. While trying to kill her Dimitri interrupts the fight. Rasputin resorts to transporting Anastasia somewhere so he can kill her without the hassle of a fight with Dimitri. But something goes wrong and Anastasia is transported into the past. Where she meets Jane, Clayton and her father. She lives with them for about a year going by the name 'Anya' completely oblivious to where she came from. Finally she starts to remember what happened to her that night at the party. Anastasia is trying to convince them that she is a russian princess, that has not even been born yet. Jane just laughs and believe Anya had a dream. Everyday they spend together Anya tries to convince them of the evil that is out to get her. While back in Russia, Rasputin is having a hard time locating Anastasia. When he does, he sends his demons into the past to kill her for him, seeing as he can't leave his time or he will die. The demons make their way to Anya in her sleep. Luring her out and away from the others, when Jane follows her. Seeing the demons, Jane now believe every word, and promises to get her home. While fighting off the demons, something happens and Anastasia and everyone around her is transported back to Russia. Where a fight breaks out. Jane defending Anya gets knocked out and Anastasia runs to her rescue, breaking the glass cylinder that is keeping Rasputin alive. The fight being over, Jane must return to her own time. The friendship between the two has grown very strong, and its hard for either one of them to face the facts. Anya is a princess, and Jane is a middle class english woman from the past. As Jane and her father set off to leave, Anya yells out to Jane. -- From there its an open ending. Jane could have stayed, or Anya could have went back, or they could have parted ways.
