@DastardlyDawkins Well Quasars and Dark Matter are RESULTS of the Big Bang. As for Einstein's equasion, I don't recall it ever being "blown apart" by any credible scientific/mathematical means, and of course I can't put much faith in your "own interpolation". Not to discredit your own line of reasoning, but, I'm gonna go ahead and put my faith in Einstein, not in you.
There's loads of problems with the theory, Quasars being one of the most obvious, dark energy /dark matter being another, possible differences in the rate of acceleration, Einstein's E=MC2 recently being blown apart by hyperphotonic(my own interpolation) neutrinos, and so the list goes on.....
@DastardlyDawkins He was incorrect in saying that the Big Bang is a "proven fact". What he should have said was that it is a "strongly-supported theory". He did, however, present just a few of the very valid, very observable pieces of evidence that support this theory - everything in the Universe moving further away from a single point, Red Shift, etc. All of these things point to the logical (and mathematical) conclusion that the Universe began from a single point; expanding outward.
@DastardlyDawkins I don't have faith in Einstein, it is a proven fact via demonstable evidence.
Tell me what do you suppose the static on your tv is from? It is from the big bang. Why do you think galaxies are moving away from each other if they were not closer together?
Why not give me some evidence for your man god who tells you to do what he wants or he is going to throw a temper tantrum.
Cos i don''t have to, that's why, and if you knew anything at all about Theoretical Physics, you'd know what i'm saying is true.
Why don't you phone the show, just to tell 'em how your faith in Einstein's Theory is so strong, that it allows you to believe the singularity is possible?
Don't worry, i'm sure they'd go easy on you, you being a fellow Atheist, an' all.

"The list is rather flawed..." - Lol....care to elaborate?

@DastardlyDawkins The list is rather flawed so far, aside from "possible differences in acceleration", which would be valid...if it were true.
So, sorry. Try again.

"It is a proven fact." - Okay, if you're right, you should have no problem in producing the evidence which proves Einstein's singularity, right?
So fire away, i'm all ears. :)

@DastardlyDawkins How about you call the show, and tell them that you think the singularity is impossible?
