Six weeks after 'Titanic' came out, it had steadily grown in popularity. The opposite of marketing-driven hits like 'Godzilla' or 'Pearl Harbor', the movie's unimaginable popularity and longevity was honestly propelled by the fact that customers were genuinely thrilled with it. In early February, Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert discussed that popularity (although, at the time this was recorded, 'Titanic' was merely one-third of the way into its miraculous run through movie theaters).
