Certifying the new Arrow-Copter gyroplane has taken another milestone with this successful rotor and rotorhead stress test. Rotor diameter is 8,6 m. Required speed: 500 rpm. Vehicle was a 7-series, 12 cylinder, 300 hp BMW. All 300 horses were required to achieve 502 rpm at a vehicle speed of 100 km/h. It wouldn't go any faster.

  • Yes, there was definitely lift. The front end of the car was much higher up than the rear end as the rotor was pulling up and to the rear.
