This vid is good for debate. Does the violence in video games influence violent behavior in kids? Data seems to show it does but to what degree? Are kids disturbed before they act? Do the games push them over the edge? What can or should be done about it? Things to think about...

  • its those fucked up pricks that give a bad name to video games. They are already fucked up hence they can't seperate reality from from fiction. Its lucky he decided to us CS to ''train''. Imagine if he watched all the rambo movies 24/7! Imagine the shit he would have done.

  • @imsobordify You really got the point of what these folks were saying. Certain personality types are succeptible to influence from these games. They're the dangerous ones.

  • I don't know how all those who believe that video games cause violence explain the declining crime rates in the U.S. . One would think that with the widespread use of these "murder simulators" the crime rates would reflect that. I guess there isn't that big of an impact...

  • @unbuiltnuke Hey. This vid is really just a small portion of a very big picture. Obviously, not every kid that plays these games turns into a real-life killer. It's meant more to show there an influence is there. It doesn't push a kid over the edge but it familiarizes the player to intense scenes of violence. How great is that influence? It varies of course. But these games are getting so realistic. Look at Call of Duty Black Ops. That realism is incredible.

  • @SuperFreeamerican why do u promote violence?

  • just got done playin fallout ill be back gunna go blow off some fools heads...

  • video games dont cause violence, the people that commit these crimes are dangerously unbalenced people who dont care about the differance between right and wrong, and society, people like to beleive that people arent sick with out a reason, some people are just sick, and some of them play video games

  • @SuperFreeamerican Did you really just say Call Of Duty is realistic? Have you played many video games at all? I feel like people that say video games cause violence in real life, haven't played many video games themselves. And above all. video games have ratings, ever noticed that on the cover of a violent video game there is a rating of 15-18 years depending on location? If you don't want your kid playing violent video games, don't buy it for them! This shouldn't even be an issue.

  • @SuperFreeamerican hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahah,

Call of duty may be in a modern setting but it is soooo unrealistic RC cars with bombs attached to them, Im 17 been playing video games all my life and I am not violent at all have never been in a fight this statistic is bullshit.

  • Video games is just a thing that people blame a violent person's action. I play Left 4 Dead a lot and I don't feel like killing people I feel like expressing my creativity and making a map for the game.

  • I play games like Syndicate and I don't want to kill. I want to play Need For Speed. Christians (like me) believe that there are demons in video games that prey on the minds of the least resilient. Fortunatly, I'm not creating a massacre.

  • call of duty hasn't taught me how to kill... it has taught me to problem solve.

when i interact with a pixelized opponent, i critically think about which actions will keep me alive and which will eliminate him. it is no different from playing chess. i do not think about murder, i think about problem solving.

  • Only the mentally unstable would become violent because of video games, I play violent video games daily and I have no desire to cause violence.
