Whoo! Won an EVGA GeForce 9800 GTX with this demo. I've had requests for the demo, which can be found here:

http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/1/8/613117/PhysX_Cloth_Demo_-_Jesse_Schipil...

But there's a catch... I was using a trial version of the PhysX engine, which expired on Sept 30, 08. So it probably wont run, unless you have PhysX installed already.

I included the source files for any coders out there who are interested.

  • theres some kind of problem with this, i downloaded it but i cant run it, it says to send error report because the program was unresponsive, i tried to open it again but it only takes me as far as the menu... then when i want to start a demo it sends me the error report.

  • That's because the physics library (DarkPhysics) I was using was a time trial, and is now expired... Only way to run program would be to install DarkPhysics, or recompile the demo with a valid version of DarkPhysics installed. Unfortunately DarkPhysics is not free...

  • Bad glas animation...

The glas hits the floor like cloth

  • When I recorded this I lacked a video card that could process physics, so the demo was running in software mode, thus the glass is low resolution and behaves oddly. Just so you know :/

  • not that much physx

  • when the brick hit the glass it looked good but when the glass fell to the ground it looked unbelievably fake.

  • nvidia physx can do better i believe

  • The grass was cool, the glass wasn't all so good, but nice, and the water wasn't so good, but good job on it all.

  • You could use a electric lawn-mover instead, much more CO2 friendly :-)

  • is dark basic like C++?

  • ew ya mum
