It is arrogant and absolutely fucking ignorant for anyone to claim to know what or how another person thinks. How can a "true believer" possibly know the world view of an atheist?
The video that set me off:

  • subscribed, while im not an atheist myself i do not agree with YEC or anything they promote. I also find your videos very educational and reasonable without being filled with the hate speech some other users tend to spew.

  • @keiskay Thanks! Keep me honest.

  • Pfft... I just ignore them...

  • @TheWisemonkey8 Sound advice.

  • They do a lot of projection.

  • @SiriusMined That projection renders moot any point or argument they're trying to make even before it gets out of their mouth.

  • In my view there are a lot more non-believers who could convinsingly portray themselves as believers than believers who could pretend to be atheist, without being found out! I agree that we can't know how (exactly) other people think, but I think that WE have a better idea of what goes on in THEIR minds than they do of us.

  • @zEropoint68 well said!

  • YEAH and I HATE that! They think they know the heart of men as if THEY were a god themself! They CAN'T know in the same way they CAN'T know what a nonexistent god thinks/desires based on a Book that is completely ambiguous and contradictory.....yet, they persist in their delusions. Good vid...well said....I shall sub u! ;)

  • @deepashtray Btw, I know how easy it is for people to misunderstand bipolar disorder, watch the documentary with Stephen Fry if you haven't. I've been interested in science since I was a kid, but it was the episodes I had that really made me curios about how we think. It's easy to pick on someone one doesn't understand, but as a seemingly "crazy" person I actually understand why "true believer" thinks they understand atheists, but yes, they are wrong. It's because their duty.
