u wouldnt want the red light coming on as red is bad. Could mean anything from a hardware failure to over-heating lol

Nope, the red light is not for that. It's for when you activate a special function on the server which allows you to identify it if you had hundreds of the same server in a small area. If that red light is on, you could tell which one you are looking for.

I love these servers I have one similar it was my first and so easy to use n u need a external cd drive to install the os but besides that it's great

O yea that red light i believe is for when you have a special service cord they hook up to laptop to work on the server and it plugs in on that port beside it....i think
