Capcom's No1 Shoot-Em-Up on the Super Famicom and what an excellent port it is, based on a Japanese Anime. I loved this game to death when it was released back in 1991 - WICKED times :).

I also love the setting/style. It seems most games either go with WWII planes or spaceships or a combination of the two. It's nice to see some sweet-ass jets.

The jets are wicked and suit the levels.

Slick looking game! I'll have to find it. My only complaint is maybe the flashing bullets, for some reason I don't get along with them.

Yeah, Area 88 is an awesome shooter and so is Axelay but both are very different in the style used. Love each one equally

The best Shmup on the Super Famicom.  Axelay is another great shooter however, it's not as challenging as Area 88 .

Now THIS is an awesome game. Probably the first SNES shooter I played. It was either that or Axelay. Don't remember.
