These opaque glass screens were installed to maintain a client's privacy at a pub. By turning them open a patron could order a beer but closing them meant the bartender couldn't see the patron's partner (possible mistress). This pub is The Lamb, 94 Lamb's Conduit St., WC1 in Bloomsbury, London, UK. Russel Square tube.

  • Cool - and on my street. The lamb is a great local to have.

  • Dear Mon,

Very interesting; have you been on any/many Historical Walks, -Walking Tours, which are very popular for interested visitors to the city.

    Even also for Londoners.

One interesting tour locale departed Kensington High Street Tube; it went extensively around the nearby area.

    Cheers.

    from,

    del-boy.
