how much of a job was it to hardwire your radar detector to the mirror?

@yamran Not hard at all. I tested the wires in the mirror harness to find an accessory wire. then plugged the radar harness into the cigarette lighter and tested it to find out which of the wires were used. Then cut the cord for the radar detector hooked the grounds up then hooked the power wires up. It only took about 10 minutes total
