The white balloon item was going to be the life count, collecting one would give you a 1-up.

I thinks it's really interesting that this demo contains later bosses and a challenging mine cart level. I don't imagine many customers were able to beat these levels with the short bit of time they had to play. The mine cart level took me 3 tries before I was able to beat it and I had to ask advice for Dogadon's final phase (I'm a noob at this game too, although I rented it as a kid and came close to finishing it).

Army dillos graphics loook really good on this for some reason. I don't recall the metla looking that good at all.

At least we now have definitive proof that King K. Rool's name is pronounced "Kay-rool" and not "Ker-rool" like the cartoon!
