I Can't Wait To Get To Heaven - music by Keith Green

You know, I look around at the world and I see all the beauty that God made. I see the forest and the trees and all the things. And says in the Bible that He made them is six days and I don't know if they're a literal six days or not. Scientists would say no, some theologians would say yes. But I know that Jesus Christ has been preparing a home for me and for some of you, for two thousand years. And if the world took six days and that home two thousand years, hey man, this is like living in a garbage can compared to what's going on up there.

Seaside sunset, silver linings round the clouds,
Birds fly, singing, making such a joyful sound.
Thoughts of heaven somehow seem to fill my mind,
But I can't even imagine, what it is I'm gonna find.
I can't wait to get to Heaven, when you'll wipe away all my fears.
In six days you created everything,
but you've been working on Heaven two thousand years.
Deep green forests, mountains reaching for the sky,
Grasslands and deserts, your creation fills my eye.
Thank you, thank you Jesus, though this beauty is just a taste,
Of all your glory I'll see when I pass through those gates.
I can't wait to get to Heaven, when you'll wipe away all my fears.
In six days you created everything,
but you've been working on Heaven two thousand years.
I can't wait to get to Heaven, when you'll wipe away all my fears.
In six days you created all of the world,
But you've been working on Heaven,
You've been working on heaven, Holy Spirit,
You've been working on Heaven, two thousand years.

  • @mousegeek Oh and one more thing, look at my original comment regarding this video and the comments made in the description. I have quoted many scriptures regarding the righteous and meek inheriting the Earth....NONE of which are from the Jehovah's Witnesses Bible!! Oh and if you read closely, you'll see that one of the scriptures is Jesus speaking! So if Jehovah's Witnesses have changed their "doctrine", then so has everyone else!!! This IS it from me. Take care and all the very best. :)

  • @mousegeek Oh and also, if you claim to be so spiritual, yet want to challenge God, how can you be so confused as to why God allowed those things to happen in the Garden Of Eden and why he allowed sin and death to enter the world? Also as to why God's only begotten son had to come to Earth to offer his perfect self as a ransom sacrifice so people have the chance of forgiveness and everlasting life again? Look to the Bible, especially Genesis. Actually READ it. I'm ending this here. All the best

  • @mousegeek No, the Bible says there is no hell. If you look into the original Hebrew & Greek texts, you will find hell is known as Sheol (Hebrew) & Hades (Greek), both of which mean the common grave. Also, tell me what will happen to this beautiful Earth? Will life just go on for generations and generations, with people continually dying and going to either Heaven or hell. Some to Catholic forms of both, Born Again, Anglican and so it continues....or will it just suddenly go BOOM! one day?

  • @MyCovers4Me

I'm familiar with the quote. Jehovah's Witnesses use it to argue that there is no Hell & that when we die our fate is either to lie in the ground until we rot away or until we're resurrected - in a different body! - on a Paradise earth. It's very lucky the dead 'are conscious of nothing' because they'd be confused by how the Witnesses have changed their doctrine over the years (sometimes for legal reasons, sometimes to hide that predictions didn't work out).

  • @mousegeek Oh and to back that comment up from the Bible, I quote Eccl 9:5 & 6 "Eccl 9:5,6 "For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. 6 Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun." :)

  • @mousegeek If you feel that way, truly in your heart, you won't need to worry about questioning God, who is Jesus' Father, aka. 2 COMPLETELY SEPARATE SPIRITUAL BEINGS, THAT ARE ONE, AS IN THEY WORK TOGETHER IN UNISON!! Sorry, just had to say that. Anyway, as I said, you won't need to worry because if your heart is deemed unworthy, then you will simply be eternally asleep in death!

  • I'm looking forward to living on this beautiful planet forever!! Psalm 37:9 "Because the wicked are destroyed and those who hope in Lord Jehovah inherit the Earth." Psalm 37:29 "And the righteous ones inherit the Earth and dwell upon it for eternity." Also, Jesus spoke of it in Matthew 5:5 "Blessed are they who are meek, for they will inherit the earth." I am of the great crowd/multitude - Rev 7:9. You claim to be of the little flock (144,000) - Rev 14:3

Praise Jah & his wonderful son Jesus!!

  • Very Nice!

  • @MidasT01

Legitimate self interest like wanting to be blessed is certainly acceptable to God. He encourages it. Have you not been reading your bible.?

When you come to Jesus, its not only that your brain is washed but the WHOLE body soul and spirit by the BLOOD of Jesus Christ. You need lots of scrubbing, bro.
