This is a 1968 Kenmore (built by Whirlpool) 700 series washer with the RotoSwirl agitator doing a fill and agitate. About 2 minutes into the video, you can hear the click of the bleach dispenser solenoid.

  • How was it restored

  • too bad they stopped making these!!! I learned how to repair washers by rebuilding these machines, the only bad part about them was the tub would rust around the center shaft and 4 mounting bolts

  • This is terrifying

  • looks very overloaded

  • @amtrakboy37

It does really wash, that's all! :)

  • If I could choose between a new kenmore or an old kenmore. I'd definatly go with the old machine because It washes with more force than a new machine does.

  • @71234g listen very very closely to hear the woo woo sound.

  • That weirdly-coloured agitator is beautiful.

  • @mrbrandon71 These BD washers were made to work at slower agitation and spin speeds

  • @CWM880 Duh, it's the fabric softener dispenser
