Learn more about DT25™ tube amps at http://line6.com/dt25/

DT25 amplifiers deliver boutique sound and performance through a uniquely versatile tube amp design by Reinhold Bogner and advanced HD modeling technology from Line 6.

Reconfigurable analog components and HD modeling allows DT25 to be four boutique tube amps in one capable of producing American cleans, British crunch, class A chime and modern high-gain. Selectable operating class, power tube mode and four Voicings (which offer the perfect combinations of negative feedback loop topology, and HD preamp and tone stack modeling) can dial in classic vintage tones or be shaped into highly customized originals -- and each one drips with boutique tone and touch response.

  • getting a pod hd 500 is one of the best gear decisions ive made. cant wait for the dt25-pod hd 500 demo (will there be one?)

  • @kuringmundo I've sent your request over to our video person. Thanks.

  • C'mon line6 wtf ... I see it on your web site ... no prices.. I call dealers... they say "we don't know yet." so wtf is the MSRP? I'm ready to write a check. If you guys don't want to sell one, then I'll be more than happy to get a Marshall 205H.

  • @Stratomacaster Hi, Sorry you have had difficulty finding it. I just looked on Sweetwater and you can see the estimated street price there, so you can get an idea. Thanks!

  • @line6movies Thank you... Sry for being agitated, but I finally have some "fun money" burning a hole in my pocket and if I don't get rid of it soon, something will happen (i.e. car explodes, house floods, someone breaks a major body part, etc...) You know how it goes.

  • @Stratomacaster Absolutely, I have had the emergency vet bills, main sewer pipe break... I hope that only good things come your way! :)

  • Nice playing! nice sounds! and that second guitar is AWESOME! build it yourself? looks and sounds totally awesome!

  • @seanhalleyguitar No problem Sean :) Btw if you have notation of the first part it would be great.

  • @alextsayun

Sorry duder - I'm an old studio guy, so I can only read and write normal musical notation (and I don't really have time to transcribe these anyway). I have absolutely no idea how those little circles and numbers work with tabulature, so I wouldn't be of any help, unfortunately. Sorry about that!

    S..

  • Sean, would you please tabs for the first and second part of video?

  • @scottyluvsguitar

Thanks! No - no PODs or pedals - the guitar is going straight into the amp input. The chain in a nutshell:

DT25 head into an older slant-top VHT 4x12 cab with Vintage 30's. The cab is mic'd on the bottom with one AEA R92 ribbon mic, which was going into a tube REDD47 EMI mic preamp. From there it went straight into a new AVID HD IO.

That's it. Any reverb you hear on any of these videos is mic'd from the head - I didn't add any in post. Hope that helps!

  • Hey Sean

Love the tones you pull from this amp in these videos...do you have any tips on how to best recreate those tones?

Are you driving the master volume?

Do you have a POD in there as well, or is it the straight amp sound?

    Thanks for your time

  • @kuringmundo hey, try the vid from RobChappers - "Line 6 DT25 "The Andertons Dream Rig"", they also use the hd500 with dt25 top in their vid. awesome 46min. clip!

  • @Pat60, the guitar at the end is an Eastwood Saturn 63'. They make fun guitars - I use it any time I need a surf-y sort of thing.

  • You need a bigger guitar dude! That one doesn't quite block out the entire sun.

  • Awesome. I always rely on Line 6!

  • Lol - hey @captain! It's a 1952 Gibson ES300N, that someone sent back to the factory in 1957 to have the Barney Kessel cuts put in :-) It's noisy but awesome.

  • AWESOME!!!

  • Sean, what's the Gibson the left guy is playin? ; ]

  • I hope they make more HD tube stuff like this but for bass. That would be cool

  • From 1:00 it sounds really nice

  • my less experienced ears only heard differences between thumb & pick rather than the sonic differences made by the switch.

  • Sweet!!

  • Second part is awesome! And the guitar?! Never seen that before..
