Take Action: Keeping A Promise

On Nov. 12th & 13th, 2011 the entertainment industry is coming together to help one of our own fulfill a final promise to his wife, and we need your help. Longtime location manager and Local 399 member George Herthel made his wife a simple promise: he would repaint the interior and exterior of their home. Things became much more complicated, however, when George was diagnosed with ALS, a debilitating disease that has taken away his ability to walk and speak. With the help of the Motion Picture & Television Fund (MPTF), and through our affiliation with Rebuilding Together, George is making sure he keeps his word.
