Officials from human therapeutics developer and marketer Amgen, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMGN) announced Thursday morning that Jonathan Peacock has been named chief financial officer of the company, beginning September 1st.
Peacock will replace Michael Kelly, who has been Amgen's CFO since May of this year.
52-year-old Peacock joins Amgen from Novartis AG (NYSE:NVS), where he served as CFO since 2005.
Amgen had sales growth of 0.1% during the last fiscal year.
The company has reported $14.9 billion in sales over the past 12 months and is expected to report $15.6 billion in sales in the next fiscal year.
Shares of the company are trading up 0.77% Thursday morning at $51.14.
