Totally stock mexican 70s strat and I love it. All the treble bite you'd expect, looks like Jimi's (except for the bullet) and plays like a dream. Plays better, made better than the original 74 strat I had from new but traded in during the 90's. The U shaped neck suits me. Its what I learned on. The frets on this one are bigger than those on my older rosewood board 70s reissue. Interesting. The maple board one is a good half a pound lighter too. :-)

  • I have owned USA jap n mim strats. The mim sound just as good. Law of diminishing returns. Fender are product marketing geniuses.

  • @hafstrat I have the same MIM strat 70, but the 3 color sunburst body of 2003 made. I wonder what is the difference in sound between MIM and MIA in your opinion?
