Imam Moustafa Zayed has a degree in Communication Systems Engineering from Alexandria University, Egypt, and is a member of the Scientific Board of Quran and Sunnah Research of Cairo. He has appeared numerous times on the NY-area television program, "Understanding Religion". He speaks widely in Interfaith settings with a devotion to bridging peace between the major religions and communities.

Zayed is also the author of "Muhammad Said", and is a leading teacher in the Islamic Society of Central Jersey. Imam Zayed was featured as one of ten North American Islamic scholars on Britain's Channel 4 Documentary, "Islam in America".

When I started researching Islam last year, one of the first videos I watched was "Islam: What the West Needs to Know" which included a lot of commentaries from Robert Spencer. I read Jihad Watch and other anti-Islamic websites and thought that was Islam. How wrong I was! After researching just a bit more from authentic Islamic sources, I realized how truly biased these websites are. And with God's guidance Islam just started making more and more sense. I am now a Muslim, alhamdulilah! :)

Moustafa Zayed is right. I read Spencer's books and they are full of racism and hatred. Many fallacies, mistakes, misquotations, he keeps repeating his offending lies over and over again. The guy is really sick.

This happened to me to, I was always an atheist, and for good reason I thought, religion just meant "a feeling" people get with no proof, no testable evidence. Nothing. =) Allah(swt) guided us to the truth, the truth is so clear, insha'allah anyone can obtain it. Proud of you =)

Truth is within each and everyone of us, it is that knowledge of righteousness that we deny to do wrong, but more importantly it tells us what is not right. But our desires, in our arrogant selfishness, that we deny this truth within us. It is God's voice that says fix that rug before someone trips, but there is our twisted taught mind that says, somebody else will fix it, rather than doing what is right, and fixing it. We deny the truth that the spirit of truth tells us, and that's our trouble.
