Mk2 VW Polo Breadvan lowered, on ATS Classics

This is my 1987 MK2 Polo 'Breadvan', lowered 60mm all round on a Jackson Tuning suspension kit, with 7" wide ATS Classics. The arches have been widened by 2" by S.Jago Designs bodyshop in Chichester; they also resprayed both full sides of the car.

It's a 1.0L engine still, but plan is to fit a 1.3L MH (coupe 's') engine in the next month or so, and at a later date, fit a GT or G40 engine.

The '08 Passat Estate is my mum's!

Hi everyone! A quick update on the polo - I've since put a GT engine in it, and it goes! 81bhp is a huge improvement over the stock 40bhp. I've also put a mk3 gt dashboard, clocks, and steering system in it. Oh, and a derby front end. It looks very different now!

@onelegout how quick are these things with 81bhp? the AX GT had similar power to that and probably weighed about the same, so this must be pretty rapid. Looks great too :)

@carbunkle07 This was a 1.0l 4-speed with 41bhp from stock, but it's got the GT (engine code 3F) engine from the later mk2f polo from 1991. It is surprisingly quick! I think 0-60 is around 8 seconds.

hi i have and vw polo mk2 on 16inch alloys and vw golf gti mk2 bupers you will have to modd them but it looks realy good my car is worth 1500pounds and it had only done 22345 miles on the clock

pretty tidy ride, i've seen this go about chi actually, but it looked like the front was lower then the back, i've got a mk2f coupe polo and lowered it yesterday by 80/60 planning to get it on the old Ats' soon so if you see it about it's probably me haha
