  • @DerAnstifter - the words were written by Francis Scott Key during the War of 1812 when we had to defeat the British for a 2nd time on our soil. No offense taken if you're talking about where the music came from - which is still a matter of which historian you talk to.

  • @Olebrucanism more like the United States of America, the nation that is the land of the free and home of the brave.

  • @wintereis57 Is the president's own marine band enough of a "citation" for you? Older manuscripts in music dont have citable material unlke manuscripts in other disciplines. Its mostly tradition that dictates these kinds of things.

  • @oklahomma Uh-huh. Citation?

  • @wintereis57 Because that's how the anthem is supposed to sound. It was originally written to be bright and vibrant, not the temo of a funeral march that people take it at nowadays...

  • Why are they taking this soooooo fast?

  • god bless america

  • too fast

  • This anthem's music was taken from a canteen song or something like that. No offense meant.

  • amazing, great!! that sound!! I love my anthem!
