@wintereis57 Is the president's own marine band enough of a "citation" for you? Older manuscripts in music dont have citable material unlke manuscripts in other disciplines. Its mostly tradition that dictates these kinds of things.

@wintereis57 Because that's how the anthem is supposed to sound. It was originally written to be bright and vibrant, not the temo of a funeral march that people take it at nowadays...
