Well on Dune they gave that movie a Turkey and stated "The good thing about this adaptation of Dune is that it makes you want to read or re-read the book otherwise it's a 47 million dollar mess". They gave Rambo III about 2 stars saying "This is button pushing lowest common denominator filmmaking" which is funny. But they did gave my least fave movie a turkey rating and you know what that is including my second least fave which has travolta.

@Johnlindsey289 Yeah,i have several editions of Mick and Marsha's Video/DVD Guides, and i never thought they were more far off when they slammed this or Santa Claus: The Movie and even Dune. But they also slammed nearly all of the Friday the 13th films, which i adore,so it's hard for me to take their criticism too seriously anyway.Cleopatra, Tora,Tora,Tora, Rambo 3, Waterworld, Last Action Hero, and Howard The Duck were all a lot of fun too though.Heaven's Gate was okay but a little boring, imo.

But Santa Claus was a great movie i thought despite being called one of those so called big budget bombs like printed in the category of Video Hounddog's index of movies. Even Waterworld and Last Action Hero aren't that bad but great fun as was Cleopatra to Tora Tora Tora which were great flicks. But did you noticed that Dan Ackroyd was in 2 Pearl Harbor movies such as 2001's PH movie and this one? funny isn't it? he must love WWII stuff.

I enjoyed it since i was 11 too, it's one of my favorite comedies not even Mick Martin and Marsha Porter who gave it turkey could stop it, you ever read their awesome video/DVD Guide book called DVD/Video Guide where they gave ratings from five-star (Winner) to Turkey (Loser). Some other expensive bombs like Heaven's Gate, Rambo III, Santa Claus the Movie and Dune were slammed by critics too but they were enjoyable even Howard The Duck was fun.

@Johnlindsey289 Screw the pompous, arrogant critics! It's loved by me and always has been since i was a kid. It's fun, entertaining, escapist entertainment, which is all that is was ever intended to be in the first place.
This was one of the funniest films I've ever seen, when i was a kid at least. I've never laughed as hard in my life. Didn't quite have the same effect when i was grown up, but even so.
