Thanks Bob. Its nice to see the turntable in use and drawing the crowds.. I remember seeing it in its original form sitting rusting on a flat truck near the signal box for a long time.

very nice HD video of the old steamer and the turn table. We used to have one here in Toronto. I was in it just before all operations were stopped.

I never seen it working though.

It was enclosed as well but now it is leased to a brewery company called Steam Whistle brewing

Interesting. Does the brewery use it for anything? Do they display an old loco on it perhaps? What was the benefit of enclosure I wonder. Do I remember some turntables were actually rotatated using steam from the loco?

Nice video there, captured well. This was meant to be a 'proper' turn but she was facing the wrong way on the first train :(

It certainly is Mike, and lets hope they use it for the purpose for which it's built unlike some other Railways that don't seem to us theirs at all...Bob
