Mike Espy plays before an appreciative crowd. Reminds me of J Geils, the guitarist sideman for Peter Wolf.

By day, he's Mike Espy, Northwestern High School math teacher. By night, he slips on a pair of shades, dons the 1950's Gibson Les Paul Special that his father left him, and becomes a blues man.
Quotes:
"If I play a CD in class, a student will say 'Hey, that's what my grandma listens to,'" Espy said with a slight grin.

"I think about what Keith Richards said, that 'the blues is grown man's music'," Espy said. "I have to agree. Everything I grew up on, Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, Clapton -- all of it's based on blues.
