Rifleman and I got together to create this tribute to the Miranda Class. He may make another one on his own, But this video was a joint-effort to help honor this underestimated ship of the Federation

  • I LOVETHE MUSIC. The visuals are stunning, but for me the music creates an entire backstory: These aren't the glamorous ship; these are the ones that get the job done. Very evocative of Roddenbury's "Wagon Train to the Stars" imagery. Bravo!

  • I may be mistaken, but I thought U.S.S. Bozeman was Soyuz class....

  • @heavyarms01h I always thought the Miranda -class got a very ill-deserved reputation because of DS9 and your description of this class is to me the most eloquent and accurate description I've heard attributed to them. Well said! May this workhorse serve well into the 25th century along with my personal favorite, the Excelsior class!

  • When we first saw her, the Miranda was a tough little ship, able to hold her own against the mighty Constitution refit Class. In DS9, they were given a bad rep, however its possible we never really saw all that they went through, just their " last stand" in the battle.

  • She is a good ship class, and yes, would be more along the line of a detroyer/destroyer escourt, but her tech has seen better days. Starfleet just uses them to spam space battles so they can legitamitly say they have more ships.

  • @thedarkarcon4 She reminds me of some of the smaller destroyer, frigate and cutter classes used by the Navy and Coast Guard, where they served through so many years and countless conflicts, almost never really getting any glory, sometimes taking hideous casualties and being refitted every so often as generations came and gone but always going above and beyond what their captains and crews asked of them, sailing on as the world and their missions changed around them before finally retiring. =D

  • very good shot and a honorable tribute to "Workhorse" Number One!

  • 30 years since ST2...sigh,..I had my dad take me to the theater to see it. What great times and a great movie. I love the Miranda class ships.

  • The USS Reliant was one Tough and Very Cool Ship.

It should get a Cameo in Star Trek 12 which comes out in 2012 or 2013. It will be the Thirty Year Anniversary of Star Trek II : the Wrath of Khan which is Really what Brought star Trek back, Period.

  • @TheCharlie359

I would not say menacing, more like

~Assumes Eric Idle voice~ New and improved Miranda class is a sleek, sexy import, with turbo handling!
