there are a lot of people that changed from metal to trance. I think that we can find something similar between those 2 kinds of music: both are intense they both can touch ur soul if u know what I mean. personally I was also a metal guy but that was before I hear jungle strom from talamasca and granada from power source :) that was 4 or 5 years ago.

i too was a metal head in my youth - just by chance i bought the digital achemy - concept in dance album - went to the shop to by 2 live crew!! this album became my bible for years and that of my mates ;-)

at that period (92/95) man with no name tracks were the top of any goa dj set: hands rising, bodies moving and people shouting crazy !!! :)

any acid-trance party of 93/94 was not complete if the dj's did not played those tracks :-)

Similar experience to mine though not quite so drastic. I used to think electonic was cheesy vocal type trance, then I heard stuff like this :)
