  • I am a buddhist from Puerto Rico, and I want to be ordinated as a buddhistm monk. How can I do it. There are no monasteries in Puerto Rico.

  • what is needed is interfaith dialog ,Instead of each believing theirs is the one true religion ,it wouldn't hurt to sit down and learn from each other,It is true that if America were more Buddhist country ,and not so war like then better understanding of the needs of all could be achieved.Instead some religions believe if you do not follow their beliefs you are damned for eternity,This is flawed thinking,,,and that of a closed mind....open to no other views than their own.

  • If the United States became a predominantly Buddhist country, it would be closer to peace and rational behavior. Instead of following ridiculous cult-like Christian fundamentalism :-/

  • All religion is regional. I've never seen a religion successfully leave the land where it was revealed. Even within a region, some religions are very local, no matter how they attempt to proselytize. Mormonism, for example, just doesn't work outside of Utah, except along the path Brigham Young took them on the way to Utah.

Catholicism thinks it is universal but, it is European. Protestantism is British and American. There are other examples when religion gets into trouble when it strays too far

  • best of luck to you man

  • @sueming99 In the modern world, many monastics adapt.

  • Monks can't drive a car.

  • @TimelyMeerkat my dearest respect, keep doing what you love

  • RESPECT!!!
