Hello! I miss Manhattan!!! I just picked up a 07 KLX300 from a guy in MO.
besides the Baja kit what legal hoops did you have to jump through to get it titled as a street bike? I have a biil of sale and no title.

Does the baja key switch just use the kill switch wires? Also do you have to charge your battery pack or how does that work?

Bikes cool-songs cooler!!!!!

Very nice. I have a '02DR650 and love the dual sports. I am certainly no veteran in riding motorcycles. I went from a '78XT250,to '99XT350,to the DR 650SE. I liked it because of the higher speed ranges and heavier weight. The other dual sports blew across the highway on windy days. I'm getting my cousin into riding. what is the top speed w/out exceeding rpms. Any info would be greatly appreciated.A guy near me has a clean '01KLX 300for$1K. I could easily put dual sport lights and tag it.

@erod4489 I had a DR. Great bikes for dual sporting. The KLX was made to be a trail bike. It's great on the trails and makes a good dual sport bike for your more aggressive rides. Not the most comfortable for putting down a lot of miles like the DR650. I think it does 6k at 60mph (changed stock gearing). My KLR and your DR are doing about 4k at 60mph.

@erod4489 If you're taller you need handlebar risers (or taller bars), peg lowering kit. It opens up the bike. Then large plastic tank, remove the top chain roller, barkbusters, when your chain wears out do a 520 conversion, dr200 rear tailight and remove the big black plastic tag mount, top air box mod and DJ kit, and then syspension work and remove the heavy stock pipe if you have the money to put into it. I really liked mine. It was kind of middle of the road between a DRZ and KLR.

@slyzxx1 Oh you've ridden my bike before? What's the stock gearing? What gearing am I running now? Have I installed KLX250 gears into the transmission? Oh you don't know? THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT. Ba-bye.
