The first video was no alien. It was the vibration causing the sound capturing system to malfunction.

If filing cabinet falls over, get down beside it. If hutch or wardrobe falls over, get down beside it. Better yet, get the heck out. Because you won't know where you going to be if a big one hits, in earthquake prone area, these options have to be figured out ahead of time. Just scope your environment. Running outside and standing under collapsing live wires isn't bright either. Of course I wouldn't recommend standing under a bridge...lol. Out in the open, away from walls etc.

Re freeway. Talking about STALLED TRAFFIC. End to end not going anywhere. It's always dangerous out of your car on a freeway under normal conditions. Talking about jammed not moving. Look, I've been in three or four fairly strong quakes. Human and animal instinct is to get out and away.Falling debris. If you cannot (stairs are particularly dangerous) then make a small target, and use items like paper stacks, filing cabinets, keep away from windows. Be flexible. Think on your feet.
There was a 5.4 earthquake in SD today!!!Did you feel it or get video??
