  • yeah go back, the water was 22 degrees on Sat-Sun...

  • I may just do that. I did the far Mulberry there last week and it was almost as good as this.

I definitely want to trade my old standard def camcorder & housing in and go HD after seeing this!

  • it's not really the SD/HD divide that make the shots better it's the manual control of exposure and white balance that really make the big difference. if you leave it on all 'auto' you tend to get washed out and badly coloured footage. The colour/exposure/saturation has not been adjusted on these clips, they're straight from the camera.

  • yeah, I was lucky to have got this one on film. They really don't like humans, especially divers.. it's pretty amazing to find a 1m+ eel in less than 3 m of water only 20m from the shore.

  • Wow, tremendous footage. I've always wondered what it looks like under the lifeboat station. I bet my mother wouldn't have been so keen on swimming there when she was younger what with the eels about!

  • I live in Selsey, I hope to become a diver one day and discover all the beautiful things under the sea under the lifeboat....

  • I'm 11 & By Watching This Video Its Made Me Want To Be A Diver!! When Im Older Lol Fabb x

  • I Live Here, I Love It x

  • Superb quality, fascinating to watch.

  • True. Unfortunately, my old Mini DV cam & housing are quite a few years old now. The white balance controls are accessed via the touch screen, which I'm unable to use once the camera is in the housing. :-(

  • Lovely stuff.

The vis has always been pretty ropey whenever I've dived under there. Maybe I'll try it again this weekend :-)
