I just can't understand how an electrical problem could make a clock's movement run backwards. Making it stop running, or go fast or slow, i can see. But backwards? Makes no sense. But there it is, huh?
I have a 4 inch clock that has been hanging on my wall for almost 3 years, with the same battery. It began running backwards for no apparent reason, and has been keeping excellent time ever since.
I've seen clocks like these at school when the second hand would arm wrestle the minute hand, and the second hand would run backwords, and then stop and run forwards again.
If the electric went out and this is a clock hooked to a master time system that sets the time on all the clocks in the building.
