@6:15 I meet that guy at the milk bar!

mmh, that sounds slightly ignorant imho

If we could talk to a tree it would believe it is in a 1 or 2 dimensional world for it couldn't look around or move. We are in the same problem, but with a higher dimension to try to imagining. Thanks Rob for all your work!

What's the problem with temperature, speed and momentum and three dimensions?
-
I am now typing, and I was reading an hour ago, but I can't go back in time like an hour ago, when I was reading, and I can't see what will I do an hour after, except by waiting an hour. This proves that now is now and now only, meaning that I live in the 3rd dimension. But then, how can I have things like temperature, speed and momentum?
This question really boggles me... I hope you can answer me.

Thank you for the music video! I felt a "sense" of relief hearing you say you understand..Loved it!

@marcuelcajon Thanks for your kind words. And hey, I'm okay if you want to have two favorite songs instead of one! :)

Rob, I like your ideas but lose me sometimes with this conspiracy stuff and junk science , you remind me of the local Nuwaubians.

Nuwaubians? Yikes, just read the wikipedia entry. There are so many schools of thought out there, it really is boggling isn't it!
Why do I return to conspiracy thinking from time to time? Because I think our universe was selected from the omniverse by a selection pattern. What you call that pattern doesn't change the fact that it exists. As Homer Simpson says, maybe it's "just a bunch of stuff that happened": and that applies as much to conspiracies as it does to cosmology.
Nice comment!

Rob what is your take on the idea that everything in the universe is predetermined based on how everything interacts with everything else and it is all just a big mathematical equation?

That's a good question because I think it shows the difference between the fourth and the fifth dimension so well. In entries like "The Fifth Dimension Isn't Magic"

I've talked about how the fourth dimension only has room for one timeline at a time, and that limitation can give us the impression that there is no such thing as free will. Seeing the quantum wave function of possible 5D paths leading both to and from our current "now" shows how causality and free will interact.
