This is a mini-review for the Cerva C2 by RC Star. The model is a standoff scale ARF model of the Cierva C-30 available on EBay at the moment. I have converted this model to electric but it comes with motor mounts and fuel tank to install a .61 glow or .91four stroke. It comes with a nice hardware package and picture based instructions on a DVD. It is quite light for a model of this size at about 7 lbs. Rotor diameter is 74".
The wind was a little gusty at times from the right at 45 degrees. The plane behaved much like a model Piper Cub would have under these circumstances, so it's not a fault of the design. The damage is quite minimal and repairs can be made in a few hours. Be sure to watch for future flights.

  • It's all learning. It took the Wright brothers a few fails before they got off the ground. This looks like a very difficult aircraft to fly
