The repertoire of the Hungarian Ballet Theatre is based on contemporary dance oeuvres and uses modern dance interpretations with classical components.
The ensemble's ars poetica: representing dance as an independent theatrical genre.
The repertoire, which is largely based on the works of Attila Egerházi, ballet director and chief choreographer of the ensemble, is aimed to attract the interest of the widest possible audience. Moreover, staging of Hungarian and acknowledged foreign works is explicitly prioritised.
